EVENTS: Matchmaking event “Collaborate to Innovate” – Italy- co-organised by ROLD and Politecnico di Milano

On Tuesday, March 11, the workshop “Collaborate to Innovate” was held, organized by ROLD and Politecnico di Milano. This event was part of the matchmaking activities within the IPA ADRION MISSION4WATER project. 

The workshop took place in Milan, at MIND (Milano Innovation District), and it was hosted by Fondazione Triulza. 

After an introduction by Gaetano Cascini (presentation can be downloaded here- link), the project coordinator, on the objectives of MISSION4WATER, we had the honor of hosting:

Fabiana Pirola from the University of Bergamo, who presented the INTERREG EUROMED GreenSmartMED project and highlighted the importance of collaboration. She is also the project coordinator. (presentation can be downloaded here- link)

Margherita Porzio (Istituto Oikos) and Guido Scaccabarozzi (SIMBIO) shared their experience with the Meno È Meglio project, emphasizing how collaboration is essential in guiding conscious decision-making. (presentation can be downloaded here- link)

Walter Mauri from Agrati presented the Open Innovation journey and how participation in JRP MATT (PoliMI) supports this process. Together with Federico Morosi, he introduced a collaborative activity aimed at enhancing workplace safety training. (presentation can be downloaded here- link)

Giorgia Zanchin from Centrocot shared insights on two projects Centrocot is involved in to support circular economy approaches, particularly in the textile sector: M3P and Ecotess solutions. (presentation can be downloaded here- link)

Gianmarco Griffini from the G. Natta Department at the Politecnico di Milano explained how Academia-Industry collaboration is crucial for introducing circularity practices and innovative solutions in composite and bio-based polymer management. (presentation can be downloaded here- link)

Alessandro Migliavacca from RLab described how collaboration among competitors and overcoming the traditional linear customer-supplier logic are essential to achieving a shared standard in filtering microplastics released during textile washing. (presentation can be downloaded here- link)

Erik Bruno from Bracco Farmaceutica presented Circular Water 4 Healthcare, a project developed to make diagnostics more sustainable and reduce water impact. This initiative requires collaboration among companies of different sizes and sectors, hospitals, and patients. (presentation can be downloaded here- link)

Massimo Panarotto from the Politecnico di Milano introduced the open call for the MISSION4WATER project, which provides SMEs with technical support from the consortium to develop innovative ideas. The goal is to raise awareness of the importance of our behaviours in civil society and to reduce or mitigate pollutant dispersion in water.
